About Us

Ford Property Services Limited specialises in the management of residential property. The company was formed in 1995 by buyout of the Portsmouth office of Stiles Harold Williams (Property Management Department), formerly Field Palmer Chartered Surveyors, which had been established in Portsmouth since 1872. The company is owned and operated from their own four storey office by directors John C Ford and Linda J Ford, together with an experienced management team.

Ford offer a full residential letting service to landlords, large and small, and are specialists in the management of blocks of flats including complex estates. An experienced management team is in place to ensure your requirements are met, and standards are maintained and improved where possible. Personal service receives a high priority within the organisation.

Property worth approximately £80 million is currently under management and client money in excess of £1.5 million is processed annually.

Key Personnel

The following senior personnel will provide operational management support:

John C Ford MRICS Managing Director	John Ford was appointed Governor for the Institute of Residential Property Management in June 2002. John has 25 years experience within the property industry, specialising in Residential Management since 1988. A pro-active hands-on management style is adopted to provide clients with cost-effective management solutions. Previous positions include Head of Residential Management and Quality Manager for Stiles Harold Williams. Professionally: A former National Council Member for the Association of Residential Managing Agents. John is also a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Corporate members of the Property Services National Training Organisation. John Ford is currently part of a working group developing National Occupational Standards for Residential Block Management.



Patricia Dew Management Co-ordinator	Patricia is the Senior Administrator supporting property management and is experienced in all aspects including documentation.
David Frankland Internal Accountant	As Head of the Accounts Department, David is responsible for all Property Management and Client Accounting. He has over 30 years accounting experience within the property industry, mainly contracting previously at director level.
